Who we are:
Idea Africa is a non-profit organization founded by Kafui Winner and his best friend Prince Kwame both university students in Ghana, who are committed to building innovative libraries for children in slums and the most poorest communities across Africa as well as equipping kids with literacy skills & sharing the love of Jesus in the least likely of places.
Since July 2015, we have built Seven (8) libraries spread across Ghana, Togo and Burkina Faso.
This year, Idea Africa is calling on your support to build 3 more libraries.
One for a slum school where children of the head porters are educated (Agbogbloshie) , another for the Akim Sweduro and the other for
a deprived mountain school (Tsledom) in Ghana.
Idea Africa needs YOUR help to accomplish this mission.
Our libraries also act as innovative learning centers for children who don't have the opportunity to go to school and also equips children with more literacy skills to prepare for a bight future which is their basic right.
How do we build our libraries?
Together with other committed volunteers, we build each library in a maximum of three (3) days and this is all we need:
2. At least 3,000 copies of used story books and text books which we collect from Book drives.
3. Stationeries (Bags, pencils, Pens, etc.)
Each donor will be personally investing in the education of the next generation of African leaders who we believe will fill roles ranging from teachers to presidents, pilots to engineers, and architects to doctors. We sincerely believe your investment will forever impact the lives of thousands of children and community members!
What if I give?
Each donor will receive a hand written note and a photograph of the new libraries as a small momento of our appreciation.
For every donation of $50 -$200 a certificate of sponsorship will be sent to you!
For every donation of $200 and above , a book case will be named after you and your name will be inscribed on the library Hall of fame + a certificate of sponsorship
Thanks for helping save thousands of children from illiteracy.
