Obi the Lover Needs Some Love

On Saturday, December 11th, Obi had to go to the emergency clinic due to severe bloating and concerning stools. From there it's been a rollercoaster of emotion as Obi fights for his life.

At a young age of only 4 1/2 yrs. old, Obi is in near end-stage liver disease - but we still aren't sure what has caused this. Three different vet clinics, ultrasounds, blood work and testing as my child's insides are deteriorating and he tries to stay strong has not been easy. The best of the best are doing everything they can to find the root of the problem and see if it is treatable. Obi has stayed in vet care for three nights and was sent home twice with loads of expensive medication - just to have his state worsen and having to rush him somewhere else.

I don't like asking others for favors - especially when money is involved - but I want to be able to do anything I can to keep my child alive for as long as possible - so I was told by several individuals that this would be a good place to start.

Currently, I've racked up $4,350.00 in vet bills. The doctors working on Obi's case would like to try a liver biopsy in the morning (12/14) - if Obi's body can handle it - in efforts to find the root of the problem. I imagine that will be costly... but man, there's not much I wouldn't do for my best friend, child, and right-hand man. Every dollar helps, and if you don't have a dollar to spare, please spare a kind thought and send some love Obi's way regardless. I know Obi has spread so much love and joy to so many people over his 4 1/2 years and now we could really use some extra love so he can continue doing just that.
