<div><strong>You're Invited to join us for an extraordinary evening as we celebrate the trailblazing achievements of Dr. Caitlin Bernard and to support the efforts of the Our Choice Coalition and the Hoosier Abortion Fund to advocate for access to reproductive healthcare in Indiana.</strong> Named one of Time's 100 Most Influential People, Dr. Bernard has been a courageous advocate, ensuring the right for her patients to receive health care despite unrelenting harassment and unwanted attention.

</div>
<div>In the summer of 2023, the Indiana Commission on Women unanimously selected Dr. Caitlin Bernard to receive the State of Indiana’s prestigious Torchbearer Award, but she was removed from the honoree list by Gov. Eric Holcomb’s administration. The Indiana Commission on Women gives this award annually to women who “have become true beacons of light…[whose] stories of courage, perseverance, and compassion create a legacy and inspiration for all.”

<div>Any continued fundraising money will go towards the personal protection and defense against persecution of abortion providers in Indiana and across the country who continue to take care of patients at great personal and professional risk. We need them to continue to provide safe, compassionate abortion care, but we must continue to support them so that they can do the great work they are needed for. We appreciate any support you can give and will keep you updated on any needs that arise.

<div>Thank you to all who have donated and who will do so in the future, we are very thankful for the wonderful community we have that supports us in this important work.

<div><strong><em>ORIGINAL MESSAGE - JULY 15, 2023</em></strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On May 25, 2023, Attorney General Todd Rokita brought five charges against Dr. Caitlin Bernard before the Indiana Medical Licensing Board. After hearing fifteen hours of witness testimony and argument, the Board exonerated Dr. Bernard on the most serious and baseless charges – alleged failure to report child abuse and being “unfit” to practice medicine – but imposed a letter of reprimand and fines based on alleged privacy violations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are Ob/Gyn providers &amp; abortion providers from across the country who want to thank our colleague, Dr. Caitlin Bernard, for doing a courageous thing and helping provide compassionate healthcare to a child in her time of need. Many of us have experienced this in our line of work, and the ability to rise to the call despite tragedy like this is truly commendable.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As a result of her doing her job, she has come under intense scrutiny and needs urgent assistance, as well as security for her family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are starting this GoFundMe to help her pay for these expenses and ask for your help in supporting her.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>"My heart breaks for all survivors of sexual assault and abuse. I am so sad that our country is failing them when they need us most. Doctors must be able to give people the medical care they need, when and where they need it." - Dr. Caitlin Bernard
