Eric Holcomb’s administration. The Indiana Commission on Women gives this award annually to women who “have become true beacons of light…[whose] stories of courage, perseverance, and compassion create a legacy and inspiration for all.”

<div>On May 25, 2023, Attorney General Todd Rokita brought five charges against Dr. Caitlin Bernard before the Indiana Medical Licensing Board. After hearing fifteen hours of witness testimony and argument, the Board exonerated Dr. Bernard on the most serious and baseless charges – alleged failure to report child abuse and being “unfit” to practice medicine – but imposed a letter of reprimand and fines based on alleged privacy violations.

<div>We are Ob/Gyn providers &amp; abortion providers from across the country who want to thank our colleague, Dr. Caitlin Bernard, for doing a courageous thing and helping provide compassionate healthcare to a child in her time of need. Many of us have experienced this in our line of work, and the ability to rise to the call despite tragedy like this is truly commendable.
