Obama Academy Youth and Government

Youth and Government is a nationwide program that allows thousands of young adults from all over the country to engage in the political process. Members write bills, debate judicial cases, and come together throughout the year in preparation for a four day model government conference at the State Capitol.

In Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh's Obama Academy is the only urban school to participate in the Youth and Government program. Its students are unmatched in passion and ambition, working hard all year long to represent their district. But they cannot do this without financial support. There are many resource demands, including program fees, transportation to Harrisburg, and accommodations.

Your donation will help ensure that personal finances are not a barrier for any Obama Academy student that wishes to pursue an interest in politics and participate in this transformative experience.
