Mission Trip to Peru

God has blessed me over the last couple of years with opportunities to serve at home and abroad. In 2012, God called me to go on a mission trip to Ukraine, where we spent time with and loved children in an orphanage.
Over the last several years, I have learned to not only listen for God's call...but to act on it as well. Over the last several months, God has placed the people of Peru on my heart. For what purpose, I didn't know, until He provided the opportunity to travel on a mission trip to Lima, Peru, this summer.
God has blessed me this year with the opportunity to serve Him as a missionary in Peru for ten days this June. I will be traveling to Lima with the Catholic Biblical School and an organization called Creatio (www.creatioweb.org) to serve the poor in the shanty towns, share my faith, and grow deeper in my relationship with God. I am very excited for the opportunity to encounter the beautiful people of Peru. We will be helping build physical structures for the people, but also serving the spiritual needs all people have. We will work with the people, pray with the people, and primarily love the people. Our call as missionaries is to simply be available to serve in any way God asks of us.
Man’s deepest desire is to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The love of Christ must be shown to all, especially those to whom man has forgotten to show love. My hope is that through this mission trip, not only will I grow closer to Jesus Christ by serving those who long for that love, but also help provide for the spiritual and material needs of the poor in Lima.
I am sharing this mission with you because Christ has called us all to be evangelists. Each person has a unique and critical role to play in God’s plan. You may have in your heart to participate in a mission, but simply can’t take the time away from family and work. You can take part in this mission, first, by your prayers. I ask you to pray for not only me and my fellow missionaries, but also the people of Peru. Second, I am asking you to prayerfully consider joining me in this mission financially. Each missionary needs to raise $2750 to cover expenses. I ask you to pray about becoming my mission partner. Without the prayers and aid of others, this trip would not be possible.
