<div>Ok, so, it's more than a crush. Facts are, she is in love with you and she wants you to know it. There, I said it. Cat's out the bag! She calls me all the time, telling me she stayed up all night thinking about you, about how deeply she cares about you, about how heartbroken she is by the recent budget cuts that have effectively eliminated public support for arts and culture.

<div>And that is why, she is spending her birthday hosting Civic Love—a <strong>free, all-ages block party</strong> on Saturday, July 12, that celebrates you, Oakland’s cultural spirit!

<div>She wants to write you a love letter of her own, <strong>Civic Love is that love letter, its all about neighbors showing up for each other—creating space, sharing music and art, and imagining what’s possible together. </strong>

<div>It's a love letter block party, but it's more than a celebration. <strong>It’s a response</strong>. And it’s part of a much bigger initiative to build our civic resilience.

<div>She wants us all to show the impact of resident-led activations, she wants these love letters to sprout up everywhere, like a superbloom of community resilience. (Her favorite flower is a Dahlia, in case you were curious).
