Oakland County Times is a grassroots community news site that relies on readers for support. Our new site is looking great! Now it's up to the public how much of a budget we'll have for writing and production.
Our local news site provides:
-Local news coverage in smaller communities in Oakland County that are ignored by corporate media.
-Nonpartisan candidate interviews for local elections.
-Event Page to help promote local events and keep readers informed, as well as photography and memories for those we are able to cover.
-Support of local restaurants with our Reporter Food Quest to showcase every indie restaurant in Oakland County.
-A place for people to learn what's going on without divisive stories, clickbait, nasty comments, or clutter.
-Journalism that helps make communities better.
