Hi family, friends, and EVERYONE that believes in education.
Mahala was recently awarded the opportunity to go to Hong Kong for an internship in Business Marketing starting in June. This has changed to Germany. This is an opportunity for her to diversify her resume, learn about marketing, and explore how they do business in Germany.
Mahala is currently in her junior year at UCLA majoring in comparative literature with a minor in environmental science. Although she’s faced with the daily challenges of just being a student at UCLA, she manages to overcome them and maintain her academic scholarship.
A little about the internship and what she will be doing. The internship consists of traveling first to New York to complete a training, then going off to Germany and interning at a coding company where she will help them market to English speakers.
The stipend pays for housing and airfare from New York to Germany, but she will need money to live.
We’re all so proud of Mahala and are used to Mahala stepping out on faith to embark upon the unknown while trusting God to guide and provide. I’m just the supportive Auntie that believes she can accomplish anything she sets her mind on. I’m coming to you all to help finance this opportunity since the internship doesn’t cover all expenses. What the internship doesn’t pay is transportation, food, and other daily living expenses. Not to mention that she will be celebrating her 21st birthday.
This is an experience that Mahala will be able to not only add to her resume, but one that will shape who she is as a person.
