Helmet For Baby Jacob

Our 4-month-old son, Jacob, needs a DOC Band (corrective helmet) to correct the deformation of his skull caused by plagiocephaly and brachycephaly.  We never thought we'd need help, but when they told us that the DOC Band was listed as an exclusion on our insurance, our reasonable deductible turned out to be a large expense for our family.  We would really like to get him fitted for his helmet as soon as possible - otherwise, his head condition continues to worsen, causing some factors of the deformation to be irreversible....as well as the increasing length of time he'll need to wear the helmet.  A co-worker told me about GoFundMe. I thought the idea was weird - who would want to help us? Everyone has something that they need money for, so why would anyone care about my son?  But, she said something that surprised me - she said, "there is a whole world of giving people out there who are looking for something and someone to give to....and a bunch of small donations from families & friends can still help you reach your goal without it causing a large impact on one person", so I figured I'd give it a shot.  We're just trying to do everything we can for our little man, so, this is our story & we thank you for taking the time to read it.  Whether you donate $ or simply share the campaign with someone that you think could help, we appreciate it.  ❤️
