We have come together as a community and as Friends to raise funds for Jim Turner. Jim is a kind, caring, and compationate man who has the biggest heart that we know. Jim has had 7 strokes and 2 heart attacks this last year. This has resulted in Jim loosing his job, medical bills stacking up, and major maintenance needed at his home.
With no funds as he awaits a disability decision, his friends have come together to help with the small neccesities, but there is so much more Jim needs. Such as, medication, medical bills, electric paid, leaking pipes, and Jim has no heat as his heating and air unit has quit working.
Jim had his own business doing website design and marketing. Due to the strokes he has no feeling in his extremities, and had to close up shop. Jim has been diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure with his heart only functioning at 15%. We take just folding a piece of paper for granted, as Jim can not even do this any longer. One of his many joys was spending time with his son and boy scout troup.
Here are a few words some of his co-workers had to say about Jim when we asked them to describe the type of guy he is.
"I worked with Jim in branson. Jim is a person that a lot of people strive to be. He is always willing to help. I always saw him going out of his way for other people. I've heard someone ask him why did you go though all of that when those people couldn't go on tour. He would say it about the people. They deserve the respect . He cared for each person who would come to his booth for help. Its nice to know someone who has a good heart and who genuinely cares."
"Jim is one of my favorite people in my life. One of the most gentile and delightful men I have ever met. I had many life and character building conversations with him. What can we do to help him? Money and emotional needs. I want to hear his laugh again."
So we ask you to please assist us in raising funds for Jim. He would be the first one to step up to the plate for you. Even if you can only give $1 every little bit helps.
