Honey's Lung Transplant

2015:
Honey Kennedy is on the waiting list for a new set of lungs.  Honey was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension in 2006, a heart/ lung condition that is currently incurable.  She's exhausted all other medical options and is now waiting for transplant.

Honey has the happiest, most cheerful outlook possible.  Through difficulties and pain, she has been unfailingly kind and considerate.   Every day is a struggle, but she still says thank you for every little service and she'd still rather talk about you or anything else, other than her disease.

For the last two years, Honey has been co-leader for the Dallas PH Support Group.  In her work with Zebra PHest, she has helped raise over $120,000 towards research for a cure.  She has spent her time and energy towards helping and encouraging others, even as her abilities have become so limited.  People often say she has inspired them in some way.

The hospital says that Honey and husband, Karl Sall, will need to come up with several thousand dollars for the uncovered portion of her transplant.  There are also many other costs related to her medical needs that insurance doesn't address.  All funds raised will go towards transplant and other medical related costs.

Go Fund Me is a wonderful site for credit card donations for needs like this.  If you find it in your heart to make any donation towards Honey's new lungs, she and Karl sincerely appreciate it.
