Jennifer Mead's medical expenses

My name is Patrick Mead and my mother is in need of help.  She became a quadriplegic after a traffic accident almost three years ago and struggles to meet her basic needs.  To compound her challenges, she recently developed several stage four wounds. Her co-payment for the medication alone is over two hundred dollars per week. Additionally, the (only) local transportation service for the disabled doesn't provide transportation from her hometown to Peoria.  Consequently, she's been forced to rent a van and a driver for her daily commute to Peoria for wound treatment. The costs are staggering for someone who already spent most of their income on health care. 

I attached a video of my Mom which was made when she was in the nursing home. I just wanted to give you an opportunity to put a face to the story.
