The Gootz Fund

As most of you know, our dear friend Ray Gootz has been going through the hardest time of his life: his mother has been in and out of the hospital and rehab center for multiple medical conditions this year, and she is currently back in the hopsital and unresponsive in the ICU. Prior to her ICU admission, Ray visited her everyday  for the past two months watching her improve in the rehabilitation center is Astoria. However, she unfortunately took a turn for the worse one night, and he now spends his days sitting with her, holding her hand, and waiting for her to wake up again. When not with his mother, he is taking care of his 87 year old father and visiting his aunt who is in the same hospital as his mother with lung cancer. Ray is someone who is always there for everyone, and Vince August had the brilliant idea that maybe we should all do something for Ray this time. Since Ray is taking some time off of work to be with her, Vince and I agreed that raising some money for Ray would be the best way to help him. Even the smallest amount will be greatly appreciated. 
We are hoping to keep this a secret from him until we have reached our goal (or close to it), and then will give him what we have raised. Thank you, thank you!!!!
