Dear Family, Friends & Supporters,
The Grief Resource Center (TGRC) of The Woodlands, TX is the largest center of it's kind in the North Houston, TX area. Unfortunately, we will have to shut down in just a few short months if we are not able to raise the funds to purchase a new building for our center. This would be tragic because we serve hundreds of people in our area and have served thousands over the years. The grief center is essential to our community and it is with much anguish that we reach out to you in the hopes of being able to remain open for our community and the surrounding areas now and in the future.
Our funding goal is to rename TGRC in honor of Caroline Mason, (who died suddenly in October 2014, following surgery at the age of 23) and move into our “forever home” is a minimum of $400,000. We’d also appreciate your suggestions for TGRC’S new name texted to Rachel Mason or Trish Anderson to their cell phone numbers mentioned below.
We have our sights on purchasing a private home near The Woodlands, Texas that will become our “forever home.” The large space will allow us to continue to host all of our current programs and services and add many of the following dreams and desires:
Expand our rapidly growing Professional Counseling Program that offers one on one counseling.
Create a serene memorial garden area.
Build a large meeting area for memorial services, creative workshops, educational seminars.
Provide guest house accommodations that we can offer to families in need.
Increase our support groups from 36 groups per month to over 50 per month.
