Save Lexi

Donation protected
Renee Felts is my co-worker at University of Kentucky. She and her husband Glenn have a 5 month old lab mix puppy named Lexi. Lexi got sick a week ago and was diagnosed with botulism. She lost her ability to bark and has developed megaesophagus so she can't eat. On top of all this she aspirated and developed pneumonia. She has been to an emergency vet and her regular vet and her family has spend $600 but is out of funds. Lexi is going to die without treatment. She can't eat and shes almost too weak to walk. She is getting antibiotics and subcutaneous fluids at home but she needs to be hsopitalized. She needs IV fluids, she can't eat because of her esophagus and trying to feed her risks further aspiration, she also needs IV antibiotics and oxygen and breathing treatments. She has lost 10lbs this week and now only weights 25 pounds.
Additional info:
Her family would like to take her to Bluegrass Vet Specialist they take emergencies and are open 24 hours.
