Greetings and thank-you all for learning more about our GOFUNDME cause.

Alex, Max, and Nate are students in the junior class of Pleasantville High School in Pleasantville, Iowa.

The three boys are members of the PHS business club.
On the weekend of Feb. 22-24 they attended the State Leadership Conference of Business Professionals of America in Des Moines.

The mission of Business Professionals of America is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills.

That weekend in Des Moines the boys competed against other students from other Iowa chapters.

As a team our boys earned second place in the Web Site Design division.

As well, they each also earned solo honors by placing in the top 5 in the Fundamentals of Web Design testing.

Their team and individual honors qualify them to compete in the 2015 BPA National Leadership Conference and Finals to be held May 6-10 in Anaheim, CA.

They hope to attend the leadership conference representing Pleasantville High School to compete against the other national qualifiers in the areas in which they placed.

The total estimated cost based on the school’s estimate was approximately $1117.00 per student – without meals.

These young men have bright futures in front of them. They have great character, are excellent students and all are active in multiple sports. These are good young men.

The school is going to attempt to assist in fundraising by having an apparel sale - but expectations for success are low.

Additionally, the boys (all excellent cross country runners) are interested in running in a 5K to collect pledges for fundraising for the trip.
While we continue to investigate that, a tight deadline and the boys’ track season is limiting their efforts on this path.
