My best friend since the 6th grades son is battling osteosarcoma. She a very proud Mom. A quiet Mom.
I received an email from her one morning and she simply said Jonathan has cancer. Call me.
Shocked and saddened I called. He'd been admitted 2 days before his 14th birthday. A cancer with no mercy. A cancer that would cause his femur to break just moving position in bed. A cancer that hospitals would say, I'm sorry your coverage runs out at the end of the year. A cancer that took them to Holtz children's hospital in Miami. A cancer that continues to fight his body. Against all the attempts to beat it.
His Mom heard from his therapist that he feels guilty his Mom has to be there all the time. That she needs to work.
Please. If you can help in any way this family could sure use it. Jonathan needs to worry about getting well. Not how the bills are getting paid. Please help if you can and share share share.
