Svea Hay's First Grand Prix!

My name is Svea Hay, and I am an 8 year old equestrian who is currently competing in show jumping at the 0.85m level and dream of one day representing Canada in the Olympics! 

I am currently competing with my horse "Little Queen" in the 0.85m jumpers, and this year's goal is to move up to the 0.90m level and compete in "My First Grand Prix" at the Milner Summer Classic in Langley BC. 

In order to make this possible, I have to get both myself and my horse ready to compete in this big class! I am already training very hard and taking 3 lessons per week with my coach. I will need to practice jumping in a grass ring, as well as get stronger with my position to jump a little bigger and keep Little Queen under control. I have 2 shows coming up that will help us to get ready, the Kelowna Riding Club Spring Classic, and the Vernon District Riding Club Hunter/Jumper Show. 

I realize this sport is very expensive, and I am working very hard on a number of fundraising projects to help  make this goal possible. I am selling chocolate bars, planning a car wash, and organizing a bottle drive with the help of my mom and my coach. 

I am willing to do chores and odd jobs for any of my friends and family members who donate to help make my dream possible! I promise to make you all proud!
