Ty's Duet cycle fundraiser

I need everyone's help on something! My cousin has a special needs son named Ty and we are going to try to raise enough money to get him a wheelchair bike called the Duet. However, these bikes are not cheap at all ($5k plus needed safety items (thigh harnesses, hand shields, etc), tax and shipping) so I would like to ask for everyone who is able to pitch in whatever they can. At 12 years old Ty has never been able to go on bike rides and this would allow him to do that.
Here is Ty's story:
Ty just turned 12 years old, he has cerebral palsy due to an injury during birth that caused severe brain damage. He functions at an infant level. He has a g-tube and a baclofen pump, he is legally blind, he cannot talk, walk, stand, sit, or hold his head up on his own. But he can smile and laugh, and he brings so much joy and laughter to everyone who knows him! He has required extensive orthopaedic surgeries including 4 surgeries for dislocated hips, both feet have been completely reconstructed, many tendon releases, and last April he had a 10 hour surgery to fuse his entire spine. These physical disabilities have severely limited our ability to include him in family activities and the only piece of equipment we have to get him around is his wheelchair. This bike would give him an opportunity to participate and I know he (and his siblings) would love it!
