Feed A Village

Donation protected
India, like the rest of the world, has been attacked by the coronavirus.  And like other countries, it is the poorest who suffer the most.  With one of the world's largest populations, the difference in India is the numbers and what poverty looks like. People live in clusters of one-room homes, some even in tin sheds and huts made of plastic sheets and bamboo.  Others have no shelter at all.

Life in the villages has always been hard.  Today, the biggest problem they all face is the availability of food and rations.  Far away from the cities, many villagers find it difficult to get to programs set-up to help feed them.  Many of these programs only provide one meal each day.  In a Sky News article written April 25, 2020, Geeta, from Panna in Madhya Pradesh, said: "Our children are dying of hunger..."

Funds raised here are specifically for the people of the Nimgoan Bhoji Village, visited during an educational trip I took in 2013.  If we bypass our goal, funds will also go to Door Step, a program that takes schooling to the children of laborers who live in the villages and cannot afford India's educational fees.

Please, help feed the a village.

Funds will distributed through Ashta No Kai, an NGO dedicated to "A Better Tomorrow", offering women's literacy and development projects in Pune, India.
