Hope for Hope

For the past two years Donna and I have been caring full time for my daughter, Hope, and it hasn’t been an easy road. We’ve been to numerous doctors around Florida to try and find the best treatment possible and get her cured of the Cancer she’s been going through. There have been good days and there have been bad days, as with any illness, but to lose the battle with a child only 16 years of age is something no parent ever wants.

This bright, smart, caring, child with such an old soul was too young to leave us yet, with so much life left in her. Anyone she ever met always fell in love with her, no one ever saw her sad or angry, always happy. Her Brothers, Sisters, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents… everyone miss' her more than you know. To see her take her last breath was unbearable and I didn’t want to believe that she was leaving us so soon, so unexpectedly. The day she passed away she took me by the arm and said “Dad for the first time in a while I slept really good, and I would like to sleep like that again tonight.” and I smiled at her and told her “You will hunny, you will.” I had no idea how true those words would be. She passed away not even two hours after that. We believed we were making progress, but I guess she was fading faster than we could heal her. God must have needed her more than we did. Im happy that I got to spend the time that I did with her before she left us all.

No one should have to bury their own children before themselves, but unfortunately I’m in that position. Since I haven’t been working for the past two years so I could make sure she got the care she needed, I now need a little help with her funeral. Anyone thats ever lost someone knows they aren’t cheap or easy to do, and anything to help me give my beautiful daughter what she wanted in her passing is greatly appreciated.
