Help Rio Walk Again

This is our beloved Rio. On Friday 11/20/2020 Rio and I were going for a walk when suddenly he became paralyzed. Because he is a French Bulldog he is pre-disposed to IVDD (Intervertebral disc disease) and began rapidly losing both feeling and function of his hind legs within hours. We immediately took him to the animal hospital where we were told he needed surgery or he may never walk again.
Rio is just 1 year and 8 months old. He is the light of our lives, full of energy, and such a good boy. He loves exploring the outdoors, going for hikes, and taking road trips with us. His favorite thing to do is run free, belly flop in the grass and wiggle his back all in it with his eyes closed. Rio losing the ability to walk is something our hearts wouldn't be able to tolerate.
Our hearts weigh heavy and we desperately need financial support. With the help of this fund, the money will go towards therapy, towards covering the cost of his pain medications and ensuring that the vet bill is paid off as well. My boyfriend and I are not only financially drained at this point but emotionally devastated by the state he is in. Currently Rio has no control over his bowels and is completed bed ridden and reliant on us for everything. We need to be able to provide him with everything he needs every step of the way.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, please find it your hearts to help us rehabiliate and care for this little dog that has brought so much happiness to us and our family. We understand these are troubling times for everyone, but we really do need your help!
