We started the process of doing a musical around the life of MARTIN KING and MALCOLM X... this historic relationship and how it relates to these days and times and what these to figures meant to people world wide.
As the process has unfolded it has become so much more. It has spanned into a book that will consists of 365 days of writing and will evolve into a published book.

I have been illustrating books for children for many years and have close to 50 titles to my credit... the vision is to create a musical that supports the vision of this peace of our global story. The vision for the musical was started by an announcment on 01-07-17 on Facebook and we wanted to launch this vision to people on 01-16-17 as a chance to be an investor in this idea. (Investor is someone who encourages by giving.)

The money would go towards development, research, workshops, recording, honorariums for partner organizations, and many administrative elements that will bring this vision to life. Our vision and goal is to work for a year in development and see how far we can go in this 2017 to bring this dream to life.

We successfully brought the book "Olu's Dream" to life in 2012 to a standing room only performance in Kansas City with the help of many organizations and we hope to bring this musical to a whole other level of development.

We are looking for people to give... big and SMALL... $1 means that you believe in a vision for you as a person...

We are stepping away from the politics and going to the heart of these 2 dynamic fathers and visionaries who had a dream for us in this 2000 plus time in our lives...

MM is the Roman numeral for 2000 and we want to see a new way of looking at these dynamic people in our lives...

This show is about change, love, movements, life, death, and the human spirit...

Our goal is 77777! Yes... simply because I like (((7s)))... our real vision to get it where we want it is well beyond this number so 7 dollars at a time until a year passes and let's see where we get to... in the meantime we are working to get the right story.

I was inspired by the Broadway show "Hamilton" as well as the work I have done with organizations such as www.abroaderway.org and the Kansas City boys and girls choir... this says a lot about the WHY! This is important...
