Hello all,
My name is Stacy and I am friend of Amber and Derek Whitesel. On March 3, 2015, their little boy Finley came into the world a month and a half before he was expected. Both mom and baby are heading in the right direction with their healing but they have only begun their journey. It is estimated that Finley will be in the NICU for at least a month as he continues to develop and grow. During that month there will be a lot of challenges including traveling back and forth to the hospital, missing work, figuring out meals, and also preparing for their baby boy to come home. These challenges can put a decent financial strain on a couple and I thought this page was a way that I could help.
You are on this site for one of two reasons: 1) You are a family member or friend of Amber and Derek and you have been trying to figure out how you can help or 2) You heard about their story through the grape vine and have felt a tugging at your heart that you want to bless them.
For those of you in this first camp, I have asked Amber and Derek for their permission to create this site (you can check with them if you like). Every dime that is raised through this site will go to them. I just wanted to create an easy outlet for you to be able to bless them either anonymously or not - the choice is yours.
For those of you in the second camp, I am so glad you are here. Every little contribution will help them ease the financial strain of this time. She is a kindergarten teacher and he helps small businesses in the city of Harrisburg. They are amazing people with huge hearts. It is an absolute honor to help them in this way and I hope that you will join me.
