Life-Saving Heart Surgery for Geoff Nyarota

We belong to the Geo Support Group whose membership comprises several senior Zimbabwean media practitioners based at home and abroad.

We have come together for a noble cause to appeal for contributions in support of our colleague, Geoffrey Nyarota. He must undergo coronary angioplasty, surgery which cannot be performed in the country because of no adequate resources. 

Many will remember Geoff as the former editor of The Chronicle and The Financial Gazette, as well as founding editor in-chief of The Daily News.

He cannot afford to raise the funds required to cover the cost of the travel for two, the surgery, post surgery and upkeep in India where he has been referred to.

His medical aid can only meet a small portion of the cost of this life-saving journey and specialist procedure and that by way of a refund upon his return.

Nyarota is an award-winning campaigner against official corruption.
