We are Kellie and Rob Dunne from CT. We are blessed to call Tommy and Naphtalie friends who are really like family to us. We have shared a friendship with them for 7 years now and they were instrumental in Rob and I getting together. They hold a very special place in our hearts. Unimaginable tragedy has interrupted their beautiful life. Tommy's mother Sandy , known as "mama" to her beloved family was struck by a truck while crossing a crosswalk to enter Stop and Shop. She was dragged and pinned by the truck suffering severe injuries. She was placed on life support for a brief period of time and sadly passed away on Thursday. Tommy and Naphtalie live in Redding California. Naphtalie is a what a like to call a "supermom" who stays at home to care for their 3 beautiful children. Tommy flew home immediately to be by his mama's side leaving Naphtalie and the girls home. Sandy is now going to be memorialized and laid to rest. It is excruciatingly painful for Tommy and Naphtalie to be separated during this time as well as her not being present for the memorial services and to say goodbye to her "mama" in law. Naphtalie needs assistance with the 3 girls to fly to CT and Tommy cannot fly back to help fly her here. Our hearts are beyond burdened for our dear friends. We are doing anything we can to help reunite this family during this devastating time and pray you will help too! Rob is going to fly out to Sacramento tomorrow 4/10 and help Naphtalie with the girls and take a red eye back tomorrow night to get them here Monday morning 4/11. So now they will be together as a family to grieve the loss of their "mama"
The cost of this endeavor is no small task. Along with the travel expenses to get Rob out there and Naphtalie and the girls here to CT, they still need to purchase tickets for the 4 of them to fly back to CA. Thank goodness baby Eden can still fly free! ;)
Rob and I are making a heartfelt plea for you to consider helping this family with the travel expenses to reunite them in CT as a family to grieve, attend the memorial services and gain closure from this unimaginable tragedy. Please help us reunite this family! All donations will be used for the travel expenses incurred by this family. Any donations above the goal amount will be used for Tommy to take some time off from work after all the services to process everything and be with his family. Every dollar counts!
