Devin/Duong's Emergency Funds

Hey everyone,

First, thanks for taking the time out of your day to read this and talk to me, in a way. It means a lot.

Right now, I'm in between jobs, and have been hard-pressed to find a proper full time job. In the mean time, I'm teaching MCAT classes part-time and applying, but it's no longer enough for me to sustain myself.

Because of my family situation, I don't really have a fall-back or safety net, so it seems I am in a bit of danger of being evicted/homeless, haha. Despite this, I have been able to keep my head up, and I've been depression-free for quite a while now, which is a good turning point for my life.

So, in the interim between now and a job, I am asking for help with money for rent, utilities, groceries, and expenses for a working laptop. The amount requested should be enough, by my estimates, to get me by for the foreseeable future.

But I want to reassure you (and myself), my convictions and ambitions are as strong as ever. I still want to dedicate myself to making the world better through medicine; I still want to give my all into helping those who can't help themselves. I just need a little help myself in the mean time.

In times of need, I've been quite.. aversive toward my friends and support systems, because I get this crazy idea to push people away before they can push me away. But it's in these times of need that I value your friendships.
