"This is William Gonzalez. A beautiful 2yr old with a rare heart condition called Hypoplastic left heart syndrome. (HLHS) It is a rare congenital heart defect in which the left ventricle of the heart is severely underdeveloped.
When William was born he was taken from his Mother to the Royal Children's Hospital where he would begin his journey. He had His first operation at 2 days old, another at 3 months old, and then has recently had the fight of his life being opened up 3 times within a week due to complications.
He is a Superhero. So much for such a little body to go through. He is fighting the good fight and being so brave. He still has a long road ahead but with his amazing parents by his side, he will continue to recover and hopefully get stronger every day.
As you can imagine, his parents and his new little brother James, have been by his side the whole time and have been a pillar of strength. They are an inspiration to us all.
So many of you have sent well wishes and asked how you can help. Now, we have established a way for you to do do that. With time of work, bills to pay and many nights in hotels, it's no doubt they could use a hand. Zoe and Dave have asked for nothing but love and well wishes but now if you choose, you can also use this link to donate and help them out.
