Thank you so much for visiting! We hope and pray you will consider donating toward the cost of Christian\'s service dog, Biscuit. Our ultimate goal for Christian is that he will become independent and self-sufficient. A service dog would benefit him tremendously!

Christian is now at an age where he realizes that he is not keeping up with his peers. This affects him negatively everyday. We all remember what it was like trying to keep up with other children. Biscuit can help Christian behave more like other kids his age.

We have been approved for a service dog and the final leg of this journey before getting Biscuit is to raise the money to pay for his training and care. Lori Shanks of AK-9 Campus based in Newnan, GA is carefully and lovingly training Biscuit, a Golden Retriever, to meet Christian\'s specifically unique needs. Biscuit will provide constant, daily therapy in a way nothing and no one else could.

Biscuit will help Christian at night with sleeping better and, hopefully, help with his nightmares which occur every night. Christian also has self-care issues and needs assistance with basic grooming. Nonetheless, this is traumatic for him and an assistance dog will help through touch therapy to calm him. Biscuit will also help Christian when he is out in public. He is easily confused and can get lost or go out in front of a moving car without realizing it. Biscuit will be trained to protect him from that. Christian has some mobility issues with stamina, balance and muscle tone. With Biscuit, all that will be reduced. A service dog can provide the balance and physical stability Christian needs to be more independent.  

Born in early April 2010, Biscuit is a rescue found by Lori at a veterinarian\'s office. He is wonderfully calm and centered already for a puppy and Lori says she knew when she met him that he has \"the gift\" for service and he is the dog for us!
