NWLL Koetje Park T-Ball Shed

The North Whidbey Little League storage structure at Koetje Park was set ablaze just after midnight on the morning of Thursday, April 6th. Unfortunately, by the time the fire department arrived on the scene, the structure was fully engulfed and had burned to the ground. This includes the structure where we housed all of our equipment for our 4-6 year olds in the T-Ball division. Everything that was contained inside will need to be replaced including the structure itself, which is the most costly item to replace.

Items lost which will need to be replaced are: two sets of bases/base tops, a chalk machine, a line striping cart, a bag of batting helmets, one complete equipment bag (which contained bats, catchers gear, a tee, throw-down bases, etc.), baseline string/reel, game balls, field rakes, chalk, field marking paint, two boxes of ice packs, assorted tools and other odds and ends.

All contributions will assist North Whidbey Little League greatly as we work to rebuild and replace everything that was lost, in addition to facilitating a return to play as soon as possible for these young kids. As a non profit, which operates on a tight budget this will be a significant blow to us. We will work to overcome this and continue to serve the kids of North Whidbey. A huge thank you to our wonderful community for rallying together during this time, displaying what a sense of community is intended to be. We are extremely appreciative of any and all help in this endeavor, and can give donation letters upon request.
