Support Steve

Family and friends of Steve Lee are asking for your help, support, and prayers.

After not feeling well during the winter months with colds and pneumonia that never quite went away and three hospitalizations over the summer to have fluid removed from his lungs, Steve was diagnosed in July 2018 with mesothelioma. Mesothelioma is a rare cancer caused by asbestos exposure that effects the lungs and the lining of the lungs, heart, and abdomen. The doctors struggled to find what was causing him to be ill, because this aggressive form of cancer is hard to detect. Since Steve’s diagnosis, he has been unable to work and was referred by his doctor to a cancer center in Boston, Massachusetts, where he has been receiving treatment.

Those who know Steve describe him as a loving husband, father, grandpa, friend, hard worker, generous, willing to help anyone, and always up for a conversation. This battle has been stressful not only on Steve, but on his wife, Vicki, who has been by his side. 

During this time, we want to rally around them and show them how loved and appreciated they are by all of us. Our goal is to help Steve, so he is able to focus solely on fighting this battle. Steve has a long, tough battle ahead and we want to alleviate the worry about the financial impact this will have on him and Vicki. As you can imagine, this was sudden and did not leave time to prepare financially to pay for treatments, prescriptions, medical bills, travel and lodging expenses and loss wages.
