Guatemala Medical Mission Trip

Hi everyone!
As some of you may know, I am a Graduate Biomedical Science student at Geisinger Commonwealth Medical School and longing to pursue a career in the healthcare field as a physician.
Now that you know a little about me on to the important stuff!
Geisinger School of Medicine is organizing a nine day medical mission trip through Vida Volunteers to Guatemala during our Spring Break in February 2019.
Vida provides volunteers with a unique hands-on, eye-opening, and mind-enriching experience. As volunteers we will have the opportunity to work side by side with local licensed health care professionals in mobile clinics along with the ability to learn first hand about Central American cultures, participate in home-stays and cultural activities. This is an excellent opportunity for those who are pre-professionals, like myself. The experiences offered during this trip will allow us to become a well-rounded medical professionals in the future.
Prevention and Treatment is the main focus of this trip. As a team we support sustainable development and believe in empowering communities by assisting and supporting other non-profit organizations that are based in the communities we serve. Each year, Vida continues to advance the causes of global health care and animal welfare through their veterinary, medical, and dental programs. Many lives changed for the better due to the medical attention and education provided to these communities. We also need continued support from people like you! This is why I am asking for your help!
