NW Speech & Debate Tournament of Champions Fund

Almost four years of rigorous competition,  sleepless preparation nights, and more than a few finals rounds, we’ve come so close. The only thing holding us back from attending the most prestigious Speech and Debate tournament in the country is our financial situation.

Hi we are the Northwest Speech and Debate team; Meagan, Lexi, Cosette, Charisse, Jonathan, and Manny. What we may lack in financial resources and private coaches, we make up for in hard work, dedication, and persistence. An extracurricular activity that seems to demand high amounts of funds, our success in Debate has often depended on support from friends, family, and the community. We have been dreaming of attending the Tournament of Champions at the University of Kentucky since freshman year, but we never could have imagined the price tag. None of us are able to pay the over $1000 cost of attendance each due to our diverse middle class background. The funds are to pay for food, lodging, and travel expenses for the trip. Any donation is greatly appreciated and helps us get closer to our ultimate goal.
