Help Melissa Beat this!

Please read this story below to possibly help out a
very special friend of mine Melissa Gavell.

Melissa Gavell is a loving mother to 6 year old son Jack who is in first grade attending North East school, and 21 year old daughter, Breana. I met Melissa at my daughter’s bus stop and quickly befriended her.  She helped me care for my daughters after school while I worked.  Since then our children Emma and Jack are great friends.

Melissa has been suffering for several months with a serious autoimmune disease called Dermatomyositis, and a recently found out she has a chronic liver disease.  She had a partial hysterectomy and major pelvic floor surgery back in September 2014. She was experiencing weakness in her muscles and extreme fatigue.   Even with her serious medical conditions, Melissa still opened up her own daycare called Melissas HoneyBee Daycare, a lifelong dream of hers.
Four months after her surgery Melissa was quite ill and admitted to Mt Auburn Hospital. She was then diagnosed with a potentially fatal disease called Dermatomyositis. She has gone through boat loads of major medical tests, doctor visits, etc. and will continue to need care for the rest of her life. She is currently on TPN, because she has not been able to eat or drink on her own for several months now.

Unfortunately, the illness is rapidly becoming worse daily.  Her doctor told Melissa she has one of the worst cases he’s seen so far. Unfortunately, her dream job at the daycare was forced to be put on hold and could possibly be unsafe for her to care for children with severity of her medical conditions.  Between the medical bills and Melissa forced to stay out of work to address her medical needs, its causing seriuos harddships on her family.

Her husband Jim continues to work two jobs, but their bills are quickly piling up for their family. I decided to put this fundraiser together for Melissa and her family, who are in desperate need of financial contributions to help with their bills and medical costs and to help not interfere with the quality of life they have been used to.

Melissa is such a kind person and would help others in a heartbeat no questions asked!  Melissa would never ask anyone for help on her own and didn’t want to be a burden to others! So I decided to take initiative and do this for her and her family.  With helping them out to reduce the stressors of their current bills, they can focus their attention on getting Melissa on the road to recovery.  Her disease can go into remission, which we all are hoping will happen but they need your help.  Anything given will be greatly appreciated and help immensely.

Thank you all for your time reading this, and with a small contribution it goes such a long way and know it’s going towards a great cause to help someone so special fight for her life.

Explanation of what her disease is if unaware is below:

Dermatomyositis (dur-muh-toe-my-uh-SY-tis) is an uncommon inflammatory disease marked by muscle weakness and a distinctive skin rash. There's no cure for dermatomyositis, but periods of remission — when symptoms improve spontaneously — may occur.

Complications:
Difficulty swallowing.
Aspiration pneumonia.
Breathing problems.
Calcium deposits.
Associated conditions
Dermatomyositis may cause other conditions or put you at higher risk of developing them. These conditions include:

Raynaud's phenomenon.
Other connective tissue diseases.
