So here's a little bit about me and God.
I accepted Christ into my life when I was 10. I started using drugs when I was 16. By the time I was 22, I was homeless - either living out of my truck or at the women's mission. I attempted suicide, self-mutilated, tore apart families and relationships, went to jail and eventually my spiritual and mental capacities suffered greatly, or ceased to exist all together. My family had an intervention and told me they loved me and that they were scared for me. With God's grace and their belief in me, I had enough strength to go to treatment for drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
I have now been sober for three years, since February 19th, 2012. My relationship with God is my first and main concern today. He is my reason and my purpose. His pursuit of me has gave me hope and His grace has delivered me from the grave.
Now, He's leading me to the mission field. He has led me to an organization and a location. The organization is Youth With a Mission and the discipleship training is in England for three months, then followed by an outreach in the Philippines for two months. I am raising all the funds and support I can get. God is surrounding me with an army of human angels, which we will need!
The lecture phase in England has a cost of $2870. This includes lodging, materials, and food. It does not cover my flight to England or other variable expenses such as laundry or toiletries. The outreach phase costs $3000 and covers food, lodging and airfare. Variable expenses are not covered.
I have raised a total of $1000 and need to raise the rest of the lecture phase fees before I leave on March 17th. Hopefully we can reach this limit before then! The rest of the funds can be raised while I'm in England.
I am forever grateful for the people God has placed in my life: the past, present and future for these all teach, shape and mold me into who I am today. I don't know where He's leading me, but I do know that I am going to follow Him. I pray that through His Mission, all will be blessed, and many will be saved. I thank God for you, and your love, prayers, and suport.
