Help us provide meals for our seniors in time of need
Although the current COVID-19 crisis is putting a strain on everyone, we are seeing many of our friends and neighbors step up to offer assistance in any way they can to the most vulnerable among us. Thrive Alliance offers meals at Congregate Meal Sites in Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson and Jennings Counties. At present, those meal sites have been closed as a precaution against spread of the coronavirus among at-risk members of our communities.
We are asking for donations to help offset the cost of delivering meals to the homes of our Congregate Meal site participants. The typical cost of one of these frozen meals is about $5.00. The additional cost of delivering the meals to our participants’ homes represents a significant unbudgeted cost for us.
To make this service available through the upcoming weeks to the nearly 100 participants in our meal program, we are looking to raise at least $5,000.
