Jasmine's Zambian Nursing placement

I am a student nurse, studying at Bournemouth University and I am going to Zambia to spend 4 weeks as part of my nursing career as my placement. It is going to be an amazing experience, observing how they nurse compared to NHS nursing. Nursing abroad has been something that I wanted to do, now this oppotunity has come about I really cannot turn it down. Especially as I am still at the learning stage still, it will be even harder to do this once I am qualified.

As mentioned I am a student so I am going to fundraise as much money possible for me to be able to make this experience happen. I will come up with lots of different ideas to raise money to go towards my flights, immunisations ect. Anything will be so so helpful!

The country has an oncology specialised hospital, which is the specialty I am hoping to take route of once qualified, so the whole trip is going to be a major learning curve. It will show me how the people of Zambia live in the village and how doctors and nurses treat patients on lower resources compared to the NHS!
