Nursing Students for Haiti

To Our Dearest Friends and Family,

We would like to welcome you to our Nursing Students for Haiti page. We are five nursing students, Adam Johnson, Garrett Merrell, Tyler Sweeney, Fara Dvarishkis and Julia Rottmann, hoping to make a difference in our world by traveling to Haiti this Christmas. 
Many people in impoverished countries suffer because they are unable to receive care for ailments due to lack of manpower and available resources. This is especially true during the holidays because many times people don’t like to leave their families. We are hoping to make a difference in the lives of the people of Cité Soleil this Christmas by leaving our families and reaching out to the hurting, sick and broken. 
Cité Soleil is an extremely impoverished city in Haiti, so much so, the government has refused to police it’s streets. It is a place the world has forgotten, but Jesus has not. We are embarking on this trip with a team of medical professionals to offer medical treatments to the sick and hurting individuals of this city. We are asking for your help to reach these people and help to provide quality healthcare to suffering individuals. We have one month (November 1st), to raise a total of $13,000. With is money we will be able to travel and buy needed supplies to help the people of Cité Soleil.
