Nursing school at Biola University

Hello everyone!
Here's some backstory  on what led me to start a gofundme page in the first place...

I have aspired to be a nurse since I graduated high school back in 2015. All throughout high school I was a top student, not just because of my grades, but also because of the time I dedicated to bettering my community.  I am the only child of my single father, so at the time I was convinced he had some sort of college savings set aside for my future. This idea also came from the fact that when I wanted to start working my sophomore year, he would tell me to only focus on school, and that he would take care of the rest.

Come spring of 2015 (when college acceptance letters arrived), I had been accepted into UCSD, UCI, and Cal State Fullerton. Upon me reading them aloud to him with excitement, he only responded with: "Good for you. Community college is cheaper though. That's what I did". It took him 10 years of community college to eventually get his Bachelor's degree in engineering. Just from a 30 second response, I knew he was not going to pay for my education.

I was heartbroken by the fact that I worked so hard for 4 years of my life with a false promise of having a set future. To this day I blame myself more than I blame him because of how blind and naive I was to fall for that false promise. Ever since that day, I had no other option but to fight for my own education. For 3 years straight, I worked 60+ hours at 3 different jobs while being a full-time student at Fullerton College and GWC. During this time I worked so much to save up for my own tuition, a cheap 1997 Toyota Corolla, and my future. Of course this lifestyle was not sustainable, and at only 21 years old I felt my body had aged 10 years.

A year later, I still worked part time as a barista while still going to school. As of now, I have received my AA in biology from GWC, and have been applying to the cheapest road to become a nurse (which is yet again the community college route).  It has been a year and a half of me applying to various community college  nursing programs, and still not getting accepted due to how impacted the programs are.

Now to the main point...
I have been advised by numerous counselors to go to the private school route- in my case, Biola University. It is almost automatic acceptance, and they have a great nursing program. I would be able to complete the Bachelor's program in 3 years, as opposed to the 5+ years, if I waited for the community college path. I am almost 24, and am still not even close to the money it would take for me to even think about a private school. Also, I have been lucky enough for my mom to take me in while I continue school and work, but there is only so much patience she has left due to my age... I am praying for whatever aid I can get to help me with the 3 year tuition, and to help me pay for any bills I have during those 3 years, as I am not allowed to work while in the program due to clinicals.

I, like many others am just trying to catch a break, and avoid paying a debt for the rest of my life. Thank you so much to those who even took the time to read my story. I have been humbled by my life experiences so far, and am grateful and hopeful for what is to come.
