Nursing placement in Indonesia

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

I am currently in my second year of nursing and I have been given the opportunity to take part in an international placement abroad. I have chosen to go to Bali, Indonesia, which is a less developed country and due to this there is an extreme number of staff shortages. In Indonesia, there are 13 nurses for every 10,000 patients, which is a very significant difference to the staff to patient ratio in the UK.

I will be completing this placement with an organisation called "Plan My Gap Year." This organisation conducts various international placements all across the world. Throughout this placement, I will be working alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide care to all service users. This placement will give me the chance to learn about healthcare systems in a less developed country and how it compares to the UK. Additionally, having the chance to care for people with conditions and diseases that are not common in the UK will help me increase my knowledge and learn new skills. Overall, I will be given a chance to help people who need it and are not fortunate enough to have a healthcare system as amazing as the NHS.

The money raised will go towards covering the cost of the placement and flights, as this placement is self funded. If you are able to donate, it will be highly appreciated. I am extremely grateful and I'm sure that every person who receives this help will be too. Please share the link with all your friends and family!
