Nurse Her Dreams

My name is Yoldine and this is my story....

Four years ago I began a journey towards nursing school. Little did I know, at the time, the path I was signing up for would entail so much more than vitals, taking blood pressure, and administering insulin...

Some Background:

When I saw "Congratulations" on my acceptance letter I was immediately excited, but then as time advanced I felt conflicted.  Saying yes to Georgia Baptist College of Nursing came with an element of risk/faith. Saying yes involved quitting my job, selling my belongings, relocating to a different state, and involved a tuition bill I could not afford.

The Journey:

Despite the circumstances, I made up my mind that I would step out on faith. I was terrified...but with that leap...a way was made and I was granted the opportunity to begin my nursing student career. Today, I am 5 months away from graduation! The journey has not been easy, but I am committed to my dream.  Despite working various jobs (as a student worker in admissions, a student worker in our nursing lab, a gym front desk worker,  a UberEats driver, a group fitness instructor, as babysitter,  or an online mystery shopper) to pay for basic essentials while in school... despite forfeiting having "extravagant" items like a bed...despite the sacrifices....despite my own methods I am still in need of tuition assistance.

Your Support:

My biggest barrier is limited funds.  Nursing school is a full-time job that is demanding. I want to excel with everything I have, but often I am bombarded with the stress of "how am I going to pay for school?". To date, I have successfully completed 1.5 years of school with only one more semester left till graduation! I want to finish strong, so I am sharing my dreams in faith and in hopes of coming across anyone who is willing to invest in my dreams with a promise from me to pay it forward down the road.

Fall semester is over and I made it through what is said to be toughest semester. While graduation is around the corner - May 2018 - I cannot register for classes if this oustanding balance is not paid off before spring begins.

At this point, anything and everything helps! Whether its 50 cents, 100 bucks or 1,000 dollars, your investment is greatly appreciated.  And if you cannot make a contribution, please know I will gladly accept resources, links, ideas, prayers and positive words of encouragement as well.

I love you all! Thank you in advance for your kindness!
