<div>Nugget is a 5-year-old <b>trained</b> <b>service</b><strong> dog</strong> who has been <strong>diagnosed with lymphoma</strong>. His owner, Heather Walker, is a <strong>high school science teacher</strong> and <strong>Coast Guard Reservist</strong>. Heather was unsuccessful in stopping her best friend's (Army National Guard veteran) suicide via a gunshot wound to the head in the passenger seat of her car in 2019. Nugget provides her with support for her PTSD that resulted from this tragedy. Heather is a full-time online PhD student and has taken a leave of absence from Liberty University to allocate all funds to providing Nugget the best treatment possible.
