Help in Melanie's fight

In February 2010, Melanie received a diagnosis of early stage breast cancer.  After a double bilateral mastectomy, preventative removal of her ovaries and many months of chemotherapy she seemed to be on the road to recovery. Life was full, but blissfully uneventful. Normalcy returned and the fear of cancer began to subside. In October 2014, she began having what seemed to be  muscle pain which progressively grew worse.  After months of severe pain and suffering, the pain became too extreme to endure another moment. On 2/15/15, in the middle of the night, she was taken by her daughter Jessica to the emergency room where every cancer survivor’s worst fear was confirmed. The cancer had returned and metastasized to her spine, lymph nodes, most of her bones and liver. Additionally, she was diagnosed with a broken neck, broken ribs and broken thoracic spine. She experienced such overwhelming pain and suffering as a result of her condition that she had a hard time working or performing even the simplest of tasks the last couple of months. As a result of her inability to work, she was unable to afford her insurance premium for the month of February when she was hospitalized for 11 days. Therefore, the significant hospital bills in February and radiation treatments that began Tuesday, 2/24/15 are not covered by insurance. She is now completely disabled and unable to work. Her daughter, Jessica, who lives with her and is also now unable to work because she will be her primary caregiver going forward . While Melanie will receive a limited amount of income from disability insurance, it is not enough to cover the mortgage, utilities, and other basic essentials.  Both Melanie and Jessica have a very hard time asking for help, but this situation necessitates it.  Any help would be appreciated beyond measure. Please give what you can to help these two beautiful women in this time of great need.
