<div><strong>Dhian Singh Pahal is an 8-year-old racing driver</strong> from Coventry who, 2 years ago, started to compete in the <strong>national championships.</strong> While he’s doing well, <b>Dhian now needs your help.</b> <strong>He has the talent, determination, a supportive network, but it is becoming increasingly apparent, that alone is not enough.</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div><img class="m-text-editor-image" alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/75243553_1694173251256313_r." width="100%" />

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Dhian has been racing since the age of 3 when he got his first go-kart. Having access to Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in Leicestershire allowed Dhian to head out to the track every Sunday. He always wanted to go, come rain or shine. As he got older, he raced at the Sutton Circuit. He takes driving seriously, taking notes from his favourite drivers Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton, and loves his Ferraris.

</div>

<div><br />

</div><img class="m-text-editor-image" alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/75243553_1694172744275586_r." width="100%" />

<div><br />

</div>

<div>His ultimate <strong>dream of getting into Formula 1 isn’t an unreasonable one</strong> with his skillset, and the family are determined to support him whatever it takes. Dhian also works hard at it and truly loves what he does. While seeing some of his competitors arrive to race days in helicopters doesn’t deter him, they can see that things such as <strong>not being able to afford new tyres or enough testing sessions is going to set him bac</strong>k from his competitors, despite his talent and work ethic.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Motorsport is a very much money oriented even at this young level. A lot of <strong>Dhian’s racing peers have £150K+ budgets which is something Dhian’s family can’t afford.</strong> The first few times the family attended the clubs it felt hostile, like walking into a small unknown local pub. The environment was not something the family was used to, nor thought it suitable for Dhian. However, it’s about the sport.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Therefore, <em>the sport also needs to be more inclusive. Dhian and his family also want to help change this, as a Sikh patka-wearing boy from a background without privilege.</em> They hope with your support, his successes will inspire all children to believe they have a chance and can achieve anything, even in an elitist sports like motor racing. Positive role models are always needed and with your support we hope Dhian will grow up to be one to others.

</div>

<div><strong>So how can you help Dhian reach his potential?</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We, his family and some of his growing fan club, are looking to raise £20-50,000 for one year through sponsorship and crowdfunding to help Dhian achieve his potential and make motor racing a more even playing field. This money will go towards items such as the following:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Tyres Slicks / Wets cost £160 a set. New tyres are required for each race weekend which we currently then use for practice and club races. We need new tyres for each race and as well as a separate practice set. Wet tyres we carry over and only need 4 sets per championship.

</div>

<div>£160x4x12 <strong>£7,680.</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>2 karts per year cost just under £3000 each. However as is expected, there are crashes, or if they jump over curbs etc. the bottom gets scraped eventually it needs to be replaced. Each additional kart costs £3000 , and we also require contingent for parts and repairs.

</div>

<div><strong>£10,000</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Minimum driver coaching costs £150 a day plus accommodation, ideally we would like a coach most of the time we are out. However even if it’s just the big races, that is 14 races which are 3-day events.

</div>

<div><strong>£10,500 (minimum)</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Dhian’s father is his mechanic will carry on being so to help save money, which saves approximately £11,000. Mechanic also requires accommodation; his parents currently stay on the coach to save money.

</div>

<div><br />

</div><img class="m-text-editor-image" alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/75243553_1694172841649503_r." width="100%" />

<div><br />

</div>

<div>There are <strong>further costs of entry fees, accommodation, diems, and travel.</strong> They would also like to afford to have more <strong>training/testing sessions.</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We appreciate we are living in a tough economic climate, but if you are able, we, his family and close supporters, would be grateful if you could help contribute whatever you can, however small, towards the next <strong>1-2 years of Dhian’s motor racing career.</strong> Please note, sponsorship packages are also available for businesses that might be interested. Please do contact us via this page for more details if you are!

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>In return, you’ll get a personal thank you from Dhian and his family, and they promise to keep you updated with his progress over the next year.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>If you can’t afford to do so, we'd be most grateful if you could please still share this with your friends, family and colleagues!

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>With our heartfelt thanks,
