<div>Hello, my name is Michael. I am a 67-year-old who's been on a fixed income for 2 years. <strong>I caught COVID and pneumonia and ended up on oxygen full-time.</strong> I was working from home but got laid off. I was forced to move back to Denver from Fort Collins because I couldn't afford to live where I was. I developed a lot of illnesses, including asthma, COPD, prostate enlargement, and peripheral neuropathy in my feet, making it hard to simply walk. I have type II diabetes with poor kidney function. I have hypertension along with acute heart failure and GI issues. In other words, I have more problems than a math book. I've had a couple of hospital stays, which is where I am now. My bank account is in a negative balance, and I won't get paid until the end of the month. <strong>Once I get paid, the current situation will devour all of it, and I won't have money to survive on for weeks.</strong>
