My Fight Against Leukemia

Hello Everyone!
As some of you may know, I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. I have never experienced a major health crisis and this has been the most challenging experience of my life thus far. I have completed the first round of chemo therapy and required blood transfusions, bone marrow biopsies, platelet transfusions, IV fluids and daily blood draws to stay ahead of the cancer. To keep fighting this I will need another round of chemo therapy and I am also in the planning stages for a bone marrow transplant to help eradicate the cancer from my blood. I am humbly asking for additional support by raising funds for the continuation of treatment. I am currently on short term disability from work I and unfortunately have also had to put my passion for teaching yoga on hold. The medical team projects a year of battling this cancer in hopes of maintaining remission and a CURE, which will include more treatments and surgery for the transplant. Chemo therapy affects fertility and I am praying with your help I can utilize portions of the fundraising to freeze my eggs to preserve and afford myself an opportunity for successful fertility later in life. Living expenses, co-pays, travel (I will now be receiving treatment at Johns Hopkins), hospital bills, medications, dietary needs are beginning to add up as the days progress. Any consideration for donation helps towards this goal and again I thank everyone from the depths of my soul for the tremendous love and support. Every prayer, every call and every ounce of support helps me and my family as we fight this together.
