NSTE Mission to Michigan

Nothing Shorter Than Elite was Founded by Jazmyn Shorter a former University of Kentucky graduate who's lifelong dream was to become the owner of her own track team. Not only was passing on everything she learned while running for U.K. a priority but making a difference in her community was even more important. She created this sense of community by creating NSTE a group of inner city youth who love to run. With a group of about 40 student athletes coming from all different backgrounds sharing one common goal. The success of a program relies on a multitude of variables and this team has overcome many obstacles, such as not having the opportunity or access to practice on an actual track, they made good use of what they did have so practice is held at park. Also watching these students show dedication, maintain grades and building relationships with one another in the process is the reason we want to show them where all of their hardwork has taken them. Given the task of having to advance top sixteen from the AAU Florida District Qualifier to moving further to the AAU Region 09 Qualifier where they had to place top six. Twelve student athletes placed and have qualified for the 2017 AAU Jr. Olympics Games held in Ypsilanti, Michigan. This is what prompted NSTE's Mission to Michigan fundraiser. Please help show these athletes where hardwork and dedication can get them.
