Mama Chioke Needs Your Help

Donation protected
Aloha,
I want to tell you about my mother . My mother's name is Chioke Mims, but everyone calls her "Mama Chioke". She is a strong and beautiful person, as some of you  may already know.  She is a dedicated mother, friend and teacher. She spends majority of her time teaching the youth how to reconnect with  the Aina(land).  She is an agriculture teacher who is determined to pass her knowledge on to the future generations. She has been working for 15 years in  the public charter school system. Starting with Waters of Life Public Charter school, to Kua o Ka  La (hawaiian emergent school), Haas ( Hawaii academy of arts) and Finally The Boys and Girls Club. She currently works at the Hawaiian emergent school  Kua o Ka La and Boys and Girls Club.  It has been her greatest pleasure teaching her students how to perpetuate organic faming techniques and reconnecting with the Aina.
Growing up my mother taught all her children how to be self reliant and not depend heavily on the system, but instead, the importance of growing your own food and being sustainable. She strongly believes in community and Ohana (family), they are one in the same and share a symbiotic relationship, which is why, I felt that I should reach out to the community and ask for your help.
About two months ago my mother started complaining about no longer having an  appetite. At first, we thought that it could be acid reflux, and told her to go to the doctors, which she did. They ran a multitude of test from blood work to MMRs, but eveything  checked out ok. My mother still suffered from severe  pain and discomfort, and still had no appetite and she had lost a lot of weight by this time. My mom could barely stomach a few bites of banana or a couple mouthfulls of food. It wasn't till a few weeks ago my mother noticed her eyes had a slight yellow tent to it, that we became more concerned. From here we were adamant that she got a second opinion and further testing, it was then that the doctors noticed her liver levels were abnormal. She was told to wait for a week, but instead decided to go to the emergency  room. The doctors there were just as confused as the other doctors, and told her that her levels were way to high and that she could have a clogged liver bile duct. As of now my mom is currently at Queens hospital in Oahu. We recently found out she has pancreatic cancer and has to undergo a serious operation on her pancreas. This is why we need your help. Her insurance won't cover all her expenses and she'll have to stay in the hospital for a while before we know anything about her condition.  If my mom, Mama Chioke, has touched any of your hearts, then please bless our family and donate something, anything will help.
Mahalo,
