My name is Kristi and my 11 year old daughter Demi and I have a deep love for horses. Recently , we became volunteers at the Equine Rescue and Adoption Foundation which is a 501(c)(3) organization that operates on charitable donations and grants. ERAF already had a full barn of rescue horses to care for but didn't have the heart to say no when the Sheriffs office called for help! They immediately swung into action with 5 trailers and a rescue team of volunteers and took in 12 more horses that were literally starving to death. Demi and I have made it our mission to serve this organization by volunteering as much of our time there as possible and we are desperately wanting to raise money to help sponsor Chief. He is the dark bay Thoroughbred in the photo with us that is currently 600 pounds underweight and made it on that trailer with ERAF just in the nick of time! It costs a ton of money to feed and pay for the medication needed to rehabilitate a horse. If we reach our goal that will help pay Chief's care for three months.
